I had an amazing experience on the Cliffs of Moher and Galway tour today with Niamh as our guide and Paolo as our driver. Niamh was absolutely fantastic — she shared so many great nuggets of history, culture, and local stories throughout the day, and her energy made the trip even more enjoyable. Paolo was an excellent driver, keeping everything smooth and safe the whole way.
The tour was well-paced,… More informative, and genuinely fun. My only recommendation for future travelers: if you’re planning to visit Galway anyway, consider doing this tour as a one-way trip and letting them know ahead of time, so you can spend extra time exploring Galway and take the train back another day. It’s a great way to make the most of the experience.
Highly recommend this tour, especially with Niamh and Paolo!
Highly recommend Wild Rover Tours! We did two tours, our first tour was to Wickelow and Kilkenny, amazing day even though it was pouring and cold. The sheep farm was an absolute highlight as well as Kilkenny, our guide Dave was so much more than just a guide, he is a gem, he even sings traditional Irish songs :) Our driver Lisa was super safe and courteous. Tour was amazing!
On day two we went to the… More Cliffs of Moher and Galway. It is quite a drive, especially in the morning but our guide David and our driver Stephen were absolutely great! David shared a lot of Ireland’s history with us, he is a lot fun and really funny too. He kept us entertained. We are very happy we chose Wild Rover for our tours. 1000% satisfied 🙂
My mom and I did the bundle with three trips. Our first trip to Cliffs of Moher and Galway was with Dave & John, our second and third trips (Kilkenny/Glendalough and Belfast) were with David & Krishna.
We had a really great time exploring with both of our guides; they were really fun & outgoing and definitely made our first trip to Ireland worthwhile.
The trips themselves were also great!… More Of course, doing three trips three days in a row was heavy, especially on my mom, so if I would change anything, I would just space them out a bit more. There was always something to do in each of our stops. We are big fans of more self-guided tours, but we took a chance on the Black Taxi tour in Belfast and I'm so glad we did. Ireland has such a rich history so being able to hear about such a significant part of it through someone who experienced the troubles made so much of an impact.
Overall, I'm really glad we found this tour company! The coaches were well taken care of and we felt safe through all of our journeys. Additionally, our guides were very well-informed and made great suggestions for places to hit up in Dublin and in the cities we visited!
Kevin and Joe were great! We don’t often do bus tours but chose this one and absolutely loved it. Cliffs of moher was beautiful and we were there the perfect amount of time to do everything. Kevin shared a ton of interesting facts and kept us all very engaged during the drives. Galway was also wonderful. Highly recommend!
What a fantastic day! Our driver, Krishna, needed to work around the Dublin Marathon (no small feat) before getting us on the road and he did so skillfully. He was also great with names, prepared with extra charging cords for those that forgot them, and an all around sound driver. Our guide, John, was excellent. He’s a loud, clear voice, which made it easy to hear the detailed historic recounting he… More shared with us over the wind and rain and lively Kilkenny food festival. The pace of the day was reasonable, given the delayed start, and the sites (Wicklow Mountains and Kilkenny) were fabulous. It was also great to have a tour that’s a mix of city and rural locations. There’s no shortage of beautiful landscapes, fascinating history, subtle wit, welcoming hospitality in Ireland. If you’re on a tour with these two gentlemen, you’ve a great day ahead of you!
I’m very happy that I decided to go on this trip. At first we planned to do it on our own, but honestly:1.it wouldn’t have been cheaper, and 2.we would have missed the jokes and fun facts from our guide Stephan.
He has a great way of explaining historical facts in an engaging, entertaining manner and he can even make linguistics interesting for kids which is quite a talent!!!Everything ran smoothly,… More on time, and exactly as planned. Highly recommended!
For those who are still deciding or preparing: I’d suggest bringing one or two sandwiches for the road. Along the way, you only stop at a very expensive gas station, and the bar at the cliffs is also pricey. You won’t really have a proper chance to eat until Galway around 3 p.m. In Galway, I personally recommend Finnegan’s (a Guinness and a large main dish for €22, no big crowds and really good food)
We really enjoyed this day tour with Maurice as our guide and Pete as our driver. Maurice is a treasure trove of interesting facts and entertained us during the coach drive and at the sights, and Pete expertly steered us through the mountains of Wicklow and kept us on time. The sheep farmer gave a fascinating demonstration and we were able to hold and take photos of his lambs. We were lucky to have… More sunny (if cold) weather and saw Glendalough in all its glory, finishing up in Kilkenny with its beautiful castle. We weren't sure what to expect but the whole day was really perfect.
Kevin and Joe were the absolute best tour guides! (They’re just missing a nick to become the Jonas Brothers of Ireland). The tour, humor and fun facts were unmatched, would highly recommend the Cliffs of Moher & Galway trip. You won’t find a better duo to spend the day with + they really love New Yorkers! Make sure you sit in the front to hear all the best jokes and get the most of your trip! Thank… More you Kevin and Joe for an unforgettable day!
The tour was very well organized and truly enjoyable. It was interesting, informative, and a great way to discover both the Giant’s Causeway and the city of Belfast.
Darren and Una were excellent guides: very kind, friendly, and always helpful throughout the experience. During the Belfast walking tour, Aaron accompanied us and gave detailed and engaging explanations about the city’s main points of… More interest. Highly recommended!
