We flew in to Dublin for the week as a last minute anniversary trip (our second time to Ireland) and decided to book a Wild Rover tour to Kilkenny, Glendalough, and the Wicklow Mountains National Park in order to see some sights outside of the city. We are SO GLAD we did, and we are most grateful to have landed John as our driver and guide! What a wealth of knowledge he has! Don’t worry—he doesn’t … More talk the entire time—he gives you time to soak up the scenery, as well. The tour was recommended in Rick Steve’s Dublin Guidebook, and we would like to add our thumbs up, as well! We spent about 2 1/2 hours touring the Medieval Mile in Kilkenny, including a castle and a cathedral, with time to grab a bite to eat. You can stick with the guide for the first 20 minutes or so and then go off on your own or just go on your own. We enjoyed the stories John had to share about local lore! Outside of Kilkenny, we did a photo op stop at a scenic location in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains and then stopped at the nearby ancient ruins of Glendalough Monastery for a two hour hike through the ruins, where there are also trails should you want to do some hiking in the national park. It is easy to see why this sacred place is an important pilgrimage site. Again, stick with your guide for the first few minutes to get some background history in order to appreciate all the history that occurred here in centuries past. Finally, we stopped just a bit further down the road to visit Cullen’s Sheep Farm, a four generation working sheep farm where we got to watch live sheep dog demonstrations and even hold a baby lamb! Don’t miss this very reasonable one day trip!

We did two different tours on our trip to Dublin. The first one was to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway which was amazing!! The views were absolutely incredible, a must see. Our guide Murphy was also amazing. The second tour we did was the Kilkenny, Glendalough and Sheep tour — which was one of the best highlights of our trip!! Each stop was gorgeous. It was amazing to see a bit of the countryside and … More the town of Kilkenny was super cute (plus the sheep were ADORABLE). Thank you to our guide John for being the best guide ever!! He was hilarious and very knowledgeable!! Overall, highly recommend both tours and big thanks to Murphy and John!

We had a very good experience overall on our tour from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher with a stop in Galway. John was a great tour guide and was very helpful and informative throughout the trip. The bus was nice and comfortable, and everyone on the tour was friendly which made for a good atmosphere.
One thing to keep in mind is this is a long day with a lot of time on the bus and some of the roads … More are narrow and winding. If you deal with motion sickness, this might not be the best tour for you.
That being said, the Cliffs of Moher are absolutely worth it. The views are breathtaking and made the travel time completely worth it. Galway was also a nice stop with plenty of restaurants, shopping, churches, cathedrals, and a nice memorial park to walk around and enjoy.
This tour worked really well for our family and we were happy we did it. Long day but a great experience overall.

My daughter and I have been on a trip through England, Scotland and Ireland celebrating her graduation. We’ve seen so many incredible sights, but the day trip to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway was near the top of the list. Our tour guide, Stephen, kept us entertained with stories and history info in a quintessentially Irish manner. He was thoughtful and clever and had us laughing throughout. The Cliffs … More were as breathtaking as you’ve imagined, rising straight up from the Atlantic hundreds of feet. Galway is the ideal Irish town for someone who wants to be immersed in the true culture of the land. My daughter said that if we had known how beautiful it was we would have flown and stayed there instead of Dublin. If you have a day to spend out and about while on the Emerald Island, you won’t regret taking this excursion across the country to two of the most beautiful places you’ll find in GB and Ireland.

I am going out of my way to not just leave reviews on Viator for each tour but to come review the company as a whole because it is so well deserved. We did all 3 of their signature tours: Wicklow/Glendalough, Cliffs of Moher, and Belfast. Every single one of these tours was out of this world, as were the tour guides.
Sean Mc was an effortless storyteller and curated a vibe through music and personal … More experiences to immerse us in this experience.
Brian was a historian who was so detailed and knowledgeable about the landscape and people.
Una was a stand out. Her personal connection to the region, care and concern for every customer, and extent she went to educate and immerse us in the experience was exceptional.
Every single one of these tour guides were outstanding ambassadors for not only the brand, but Ireland as a whole. They truly made our entire trip and we will miss each of them personally. Our bus drivers Podge, Colin, and John were huge assets to making us feel safe and cared for.
These tours were so well organized and designed to curate a beautiful flow while maintaining the integrity of seeing the sites despite long drives. I’d recommend every one of these over and over again. Thank you to Wild Rover for their attention to detail, customer service, and investment in their staff. It’s so clear how much these people love what they do and that translates to customer experience.

I had an amazing experience on the Cliffs of Moher and Galway tour today with Niamh as our guide and Paolo as our driver. Niamh was absolutely fantastic — she shared so many great nuggets of history, culture, and local stories throughout the day, and her energy made the trip even more enjoyable. Paolo was an excellent driver, keeping everything smooth and safe the whole way.
The tour was well-paced, … More informative, and genuinely fun. My only recommendation for future travelers: if you’re planning to visit Galway anyway, consider doing this tour as a one-way trip and letting them know ahead of time, so you can spend extra time exploring Galway and take the train back another day. It’s a great way to make the most of the experience.
Highly recommend this tour, especially with Niamh and Paolo!

We had a fantastic day trip from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway. The views at the cliffs were absolutely breathtaking, and Galway was lively, colorful, and full of charm.
Paolo was an excellent driver- professional and smooth throughout the journey.
Dave was an outstanding guide: friendly, funny, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. He welcomed every guest personally, making everyone … More feel special. He also created a music playlist perfectly matched to the trip, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of being ushered by Julia and Sarah for a daytrip to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway. Sarah had no problem maneuvering the windy roads of the Wild Atlantic Way, as Julia shared the rich history of Ireland. We were picked up in a Mercedes bus which was clean and comfortable, and allowed for clear pictures along the route. Bus pickups and rest stops/exploration stops were prompt, and … More enabled a timely return to Dublin to prepare for a night out (or simply get some relaxation after an adventurous day). I highly recommend this trip for those who have an extra day to spare for a daytrip!

Darren was a fabulous driver and tour guide. Loved all the stops. Rich’s farm was my favorite of our stops. Grateful to have witnessed Rich and Spot doing what they both clearly love. Nice to see the tradition of hearding alive and well in Ireland.
